Kohana Coffee
Posted on April 7, 2016

One of my collaborations with Helms Workshop.
Christian Helms asked me to create a classic botanical illustration with a bit of a vintage feel, to use for this branding package they created for Kohana Coffee.
The final product was a digitally painted illustration, broken up into pieces so that individual clusters of flowers and berries could be plucked out and used in various locations across the packaging. Check out the full branding package over at Helms’ website, it turned out great.
Barlata

Barlata, a Spanish Tapas restaurant, hired me to develop a family of images they could utilize on aprons, hats, and bandanas for their staff.
They wanted an energetic and dynamic feel to the markmaking, and drew the content from iconic elements of their traditional seafood-centric menu.
Bearded Lady worked with local seamsters Mr. & Mrs. Sew It All to develop the garments and apply printwork to them midway through assembly.
King Bee Lounge
Posted on March 31, 2016

Some friends of mine opened up this great little bar called King Bee, and asked me to design them a logomark, no type involved.
They serve really well-done craft cocktails and great pizza in a nice dark, comfy, divey spot in East Austin. Not a spot to miss.
Josephine House
Posted on March 30, 2016

The folks at Josephine House, the sweetly designed restaurant in the cottage adjacent to Jeffrey’s, have hired me to design a couple of event posters.
I designed both for screen printing, and we printed the first at Bearded Lady.
The second was used primarily digitally.
HAUTE HOUSE

A little one-color logo treatment I worked up for a friend’s lash & beauty bar. She was already employing a deco/nouveau aesthetic with the design of her space, so we ran with that as an influence. She asked me for a dainty girl-owl with eyelashes, and this is where we landed. I set her up with business cards, a two-sided service menu, stickers, and web elements, and also painted the logo in place on the wall at her salon.
A shot of the wall treatment at the salon.
